Revolution Mother
This is a flyer I made at Active for an event they are doing with the band Revolution Mother. I tried to make it look consistent with their album artwork, reminiscent of the good old punk rock style.

This was a campaign Active did at retail locations to help get customers back into stores. Click the image to view all of the art from this campaign.
Not sure if this sale is happening or not yet, but here is the flier I made for it.
This is a flier I just finished for an in store performance of "Young Love".
This morning I started working on a small black and white flier to be used by the active stores to promote an upcoming sale. Once I finished it, they told me they had another idea for it, but forgot to tell me, and also wanted it in color for the web. No complaints here, color makes things more fun. Below is my "rough draft" and to the left is the final flier in all of its colorful glory, closely adhering to the visual specs suggested (make it diagonal).
So over here at active we're celebrating the fact that the company has been around for 20 years, guess who got to make the art? That's right me, I did the one you see for an email and this poster for the shops with interchangeable offers. First time I've ever made a poster like this. Fun times!
With this poster I didn't really know where to go so I just started messing around with the image of a water drop (as requested). I ended up using a few techniques to bring out the contrast and then simple cutout filter in photoshop to make the photograph look more like an illustration. From there I was inspired by the simple color pallet, which reminded me of a poster I bought from the geniuses at Burlesque Design. This was created for an event being held at Active Simi Valley.
Here is an ad I put together for Active featured in Bliss magazine. You can see the original photo and then all of the photoshop magic.
I made this sign for our parking lot here at active, but its not so much the sign I'm excited about, as it is the gloss. I was just experimenting in photoshop trying to make this thing look shiny. eh? Thanks for sharing. Anyway, I think I might have figured it out, I'm working on the VMPR Myspace page and trying to make it really shiny too. I'll post that up tomorrow.
I just finished (literally minutes ago) this mailer for the 12th Annual Orange Open presented by The Orange Art Association. Sure seems like I'm using a lot of orange lately. Anyway, this is an at show put on in the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University. I'll probably make my way down there to check it out.
