I did a tutorial on how to make clouds in photoshop, the above is my results. I think it turned out pretty cool.

A couple more

Here are a few more images I did in the last couple of days. Pretty much the same old thing, I guess if it works it works right? I would like a little bit of a challenge, something outside of active, but then again I've been pretty busy lately, so maybe not.

A couple new designs and a touch of flash

I've been really busy lately and haven't added any new images to the site, here are a handful I've been working on. All of them can be viewed live at activerideshop.com. The first and last one i did the all of the graphics for the "rocktober" one was done by my co-worker Vince and then touched up by Sean, I then added a touch of flash. If you click on the image you can see what I mean. Roll over the skateboard and the Rocktober, make sure you turn up your speakers!

Some More of the Same

These are pretty much the same style I've been using for a bit, but as I mentioned before, I just want to keep a diary of my work, so here it is, more work. I'm working on a bad ass flash, rocktober, lightning image, hopefully that will be done next week and I can put that up.

Summer is Over :(

So Summer is over, It feels like its time to go back to school, even though its been quite some time since I've been out. My birthday is this Sunday. I always remember dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time, just because school was nearing. Ahh the good old days. Sitting around all summer, jumping on the trampoline, skating, playing music, climbing mountains, that was so much fun. Amber and I bought bikes last night with some of our wedding money, so I'm looking forward to reliving my child hood a bit, riding around on those. Can't wait to go for a ride tonight! I'll probably get one of those "If you can read this, the Bitch fell off" shirts, just to be more bad ass.

Do Over

Soooo, as I guessed the colors were too "bright" and I ended up making one that was a little more masculine. Unfortunately this too was rejected, and ended up using an old one. If it isn't broken don't fix it right? I think a lot of people in this industry like to fix things that work great with the hope to improve sales (or keep themselves busy). I'm in a combative mood today and not taking criticism well, guess I better get over it at lunch.

Two-Thousand and 80s

So I was feeling some glowing 80s steeze today and made this thing, not sure if they'll use it yet or if I'll end up changing the colors to something less feminine, but it was fun to make none the less. Kind of an experiment to see if I could do it. I got the inspiration from the Cobra Starship album "¡Viva La Cobra!" (see below)

Vintage Style Photographs

So I've been seeing a few designers around the net using what looks like late 70s early 80s era vintage photos. I thought I would give it a shot. I think I have it figured out, but I had to keep it subtle because its for work. Now if I could only find a band to let me do their photo shoot like this I think I could really make them look unique.
